The flavour is sour or semi-sweet: in limuran the juice is sucked out; in litoko the whole fruit except the seeds is eaten and may be pickled also when you touch the skin it feels like snakes skin;it looks like snakes skin too. Litoko is cultivated in the Mountain Province of northern Luzon where 3 varieties [not specified] are recognized.
